Next week on Coronation Street, Liam and Dylan face a stressful time as Mason’s trial takes place. Will they crumble under the pressure?

Elsewhere, Roy is locked up as suspicion grows over Lauren’s disappearance, Ed lands a new job, and Toyah grows suspicious over Rowan’s cult.

Here’s a full guide to the biggest moments coming up.

1. Liam and Dylan disappear

The day of Mason’s trial arrives and the pressure is on for Liam and Dylan, who are both expected to give evidence against him. Violet worries when Dylan does a disappearing act following Mason’s threats.

Dylan tracks down Liam and suggests they should both do a runner to avoid going to court. Gary and Maria panic when they realise that Liam has gone missing and they quickly compare notes with Violet and Sean. Will either of the boys show up for court?

2. Dylan asks to stay in Weatherfield

Later in the week, Violet prepares to take Dylan back to London, despite Sean’s protests that he’s better off in Weatherfield. Reluctantly, Sean says his goodbyes to Dylan.

On their way to the tram station, Dylan tells Violet that he’d prefer to stay as he wants an opportunity to make amends with everyone he has wronged. Violet is left with a big decision to make.

3. Liam wants to return to school

Liam leaves Maria worried when he announces that he wants to go back to school. Maria instantly dismisses this, fearing that he’s not ready.

Gary tries to convince Maria to listen to Liam. Maria makes a hurtful comment in response as she suggests that Gary isn’t as emotionally invested because Liam isn’t his biological son.

4. Gary and Sarah support each other

Gary invites Sarah up to the flat when he learns that she’s upset over Damon’s imminent sentencing. He takes the opportunity to confide in Sarah about Liam’s suicidal thoughts, Maria’s intense reaction and how badly it’s affecting their marriage.

Gary is unaware that Maria is watching the conversation via her hidden spycam – and his frank comments about the state of their marriage leave her shocked.

When news reaches Sarah that Damon was sentenced to six years in prison, she breaks down in Gary’s arms.

5. Sam reaches out to Roy

Roy becomes increasingly reclusive after he’s targeted with more abusive phone calls.

Sam raises the possibility of paying a visit to Roy, but Nick suggests that it’s a bad idea. Defying this, Sam lies to Shona and claims to be heading out to see Hope. Instead, Sam turns up at the café and suggests a game of chess to Roy.

6. Stu is attacked

Stu empathises with Roy’s ordeal, reflecting on his own experience of being wrongly accused of murder.

He starts doing his own detective work by talking to a homeless guy about Lauren. Sadly, the man has his own hidden agenda as he grabs a brick and attacks Stu to steal his wallet.

7. Roy faces further abuse

Evelyn informs Roy that Hayley’s son Christian has crept out of the woodwork.

With the current press attention surrounding Roy, Christian has posted abusive comments about him and Hayley online.

8. An impostor arrives at the café

A woman turns up at Roy’s Rolls claiming to be Lauren’s mum Kerry. Roy welcomes Kerry in and lets her stay, but her true agenda becomes clear when she starts secretly filming and records a commentary which makes him out to be a murderer.

Events take a turn when Roy receives a call from Lauren’s mum Kerry, who asks her not to contact him again. This means that the fake Kerry, whose real name is Alice, has quickly been rumbled.

The subsequent row sees Alice kicked out of the café and she trips on the kerb outside. As she bitterly accuses Roy of assault, it seems that his ordeal is about to get even worse.

9. Roy loses his freedom

Roy’s life continues to spiral out of control as he’s hauled back in by the police and is finally charged with Lauren’s murder.

As Roy sits alone in his police cell, it’s clear that he’s facing a bleak future.

10. Daisy becomes isolated

Daisy defies Carla’s recent ultimatum by turning up for work at The Rovers, claiming that Carla has no right to get rid of her when her name is on the deeds. Jenny shows where her loyalties lie by sending Daisy packing.

Next on Daisy’s agenda is to make amends with Ryan, but he’s still disgusted by her fraudulent behaviour and orders her to leave.

11. Jenny receives home truths from Rita

Jenny confides in Rita over the scandal surrounding Carla’s stolen money.

When Jenny tries to make out that Daisy was to blame, Rita accuses her of avoiding responsibility when it’s clear that she was equally at fault.

12. Ed receives a lifeline

Ed is pleased when his insurance payout for the builder’s yard fire is bigger than he was expecting.

He considers buying a new set of tools so that he can quickly get back to work. Dee-Dee and Michael urge caution, suggesting that it might be a wise move to pay off his debts first.

13. Ed lands a new job

Things continue to look up for Ed when Debbie offers him a new job as handyman at the Chariot Square Hotel.

Ed accepts the offer and hopes this is the start of a positive turning point.

14. Toyah confronts Rowan

Toyah becomes suspicious over Rowan’s agenda when she finds Leanne watching one of his motivational videos. Leanne starts closing her eyes and engaging in so-called “reality coding” to improve her state of mind.

Toyah decides to find out more and tracks down Rowan at the Chariot Square Hotel. Introducing herself as a trained counsellor, Toyah accuses Rowan of preying on vulnerable people with potentially harmful advice.

Once back home later, Toyah tells Nick that they need to steer Leanne away from Rowan as he’s a fraudster who could potentially steal all her money.

15. Simon makes a business plan

Simon shares his plans for a new food delivery app with Leanne and Carla. While Carla is doubtful that Simon can make it a success, Leanne is more encouraging.

After being challenged to come up with a business plan by Leanne, ambitious Simon prepares the document and ultimately convinces Leanne to become his first investor.

16. Eliza announces that she’s leaving

Eliza returns from her trip to Germany and Yasmeen is pleased to see her.

Stu glumly breaks the news that Eliza loved her time there and she now plans to move away permanently.
