ITV Coronation Street bully Mason’s downfall sealed as secret second victim revealed
Corrie's Mason Radcliffe could be about to find his lies unravel next week on the ITV soap, as he forgets some incriminating evidence after framing Dylan Wilson - and there's another victim
Coronation Street’s Mason Radcliffe’s lies come back to haunt him next week, just as he frames another character for his bullying ways.
The villainous teen forgets some crucial evidence as he sets up Dylan Wilson, amid the ordeal faced by Liam Connor coming to light. After months of harassment online and at school, Liam finally revealed his ordeal that drove him to contemplate taking his own life.
Dylan had been dragged into the drama too, scared of Mason, leading to him also bullying Liam. But the online messages aimed at the struggling teen have been revealed, and now Mason’s downfall is set.
But he reacts in the only way that he knows how to, and turns his attentions to Dylan by framing him after Liam goes to the police about a recent incident where he was threatened with a knife. Prior to this, Mrs Crawshaw tells Liam’s parents she is gathering evidence to get Mason expelled – proving they are well and truly on to him.
But there’s a bombshell from Liam that could change everything, when he tells his brother about another secret victim. Liam confides in Jake how he saw Mason picking on another boy at school, so will he tell the school and his family the truth?
If the second victim does come to light and does share their own story, it would no doubt be damning enough to expose Mason. That isn’t all though, as there’s some evidence Mason has completely forgotten about that could expose his behaviour after a shocking crime he covered up last year.
In his bid to frame Dylan, he doesn’t believe Dylan could ever reveal the true goings on – but it seems he just might. Dylan is hauled in by police after possessing a zombie knife, which he has been hiding for weeks for Mason. After concern is raised, Mason orders Dylan to get the knife and meet up with him in the ginnel.
But Dylan is mortified to find out Mason has dropped him in it, and a bag search results in an arrest. Down at the station, Dylan is advised that it’s time to stand up to Mason and tell the police everything he knows.
As Dylan is released, he bumps into Liam and apologises for everything but is horrified when Liam tells him he contemplated suicide. Mason tracks down Dylan after the arrest, and thanks him for taking the rap.
But he’s in for a shock when Dylan looks at him with contempt and hints he’s thrown him under the bus to return the favour. Not only that, but he reveals that he told the police about the hit and run too that injured little Eliza last year – something Mason has completely forgotten about when targeting Dylan – so is this the end for the character?
