Coronation Street spoilers for next week drop some huge hints about twists

Spoilers have been released for next week’s Coronation Street episodes, and there’s huge scenes ahead.

There’s the return of a villainous familiar face, and some new mysteries unfold. There’s hints at a twist surrounding Les Battersby’s sudden death at work, while someone seems to be out to get Chesney Brown.

Debbie Webster appears to be hiding something, and there’s a bombshell for Bethany Platt. There’s suspicions for Leanne, and a discovery for Shona Platt sees her husband David Platt finally rumbled it seems.

The big moment of the week is Rowan Cunliffe is back and facing trial following his scam against Leanne and Amy Barlow earlier this year. He and his cult-like organisation known as The Institute scammed victims out of thousands of pounds, all while claiming to be a self-improvement group.

Brainwashing members into believing they were legit, Rowan and the others used their trauma against them to manipulate them into investing. Rowan was finally caught out and next week he faces trial.

Leanne will lose her temper at a smug Rowan, with tensions high as Rowan’s barrister cross-examines Amy, Nick and Leanne. Leanne soon fears she’s wasted her opportunity to bring him down but will she get justice?

Elsewhere there’s possibly more heartache ahead for her for two big reasons. It’s her late father Les Battersby’s wake and will reading next week, after his sudden death offscreen.

The Corrie favourite is revealed to have died at work, and next week his children and stepchildren attend the will reading only to be told they must sign an NDA. Solicitor Adam Barlow reveals that the abattoir where Les worked has offered £50k in compensation for his death.

Chesney Brown is suspicious though and is encouraged to look into Les’ death with possibly more to it – but what will he uncover? Elsewhere for Leanne, she’s suspicious of sister Toyah and ex Nick after their fling tore apart her marriage to Nick.

It seems she’s plotting revenge though as she finds out Nick is planning a solo holiday the same time Toyah is meant to be away. She steals Toyah’s passport, an opens an email confirming a new bank account in Toyah’s name with Miller & Wise Bank.

Leanne also manages to get Nick’s son Sam out of school to go on the holiday without telling Nick. So what exactly is she up to and has she thwarted the secret couple’s plans?

Back to Chesney and there’s a new mystery that hints someone is out to get him. After a run-in with a mystery van driver, next week Chesney’s furious to discover someone has slashed his car tyres. When he believes the culprit is the van driver he’s stunned to find it parked outside the house.

As he takes a closer look, the van speeds away – but who is the driver and what do they want with Chesney? Elsewhere and David Platt is still hiding something from wife Shona, but she could learn the truth next week after he admits everything to son Max.

David visited her son Clayton in prison recently and told him to stop contacting Shona, wanting to stop them from meeting. After Clayton was taken to hospital, Shona visits the prison guard and insists she had no correspondence for a visit.

When she’s told someone did visit him she’s shocked, but David remains in the clear. As Shona refuses to drop it there’s a situation with Max left torn and possibly spilling the beans – so is David’s secret out?

Meanwhile amid rumours of a love triangle for Bethany, Daniel and Daisy, Daisy agrees to a date with Kit only to be left unimpressed by something he does. As for Bethany, she faces a tough time next week and attends her support group, still struggling with being fitted with a stoma bag.

When she finds out another surgery has been botched by the same company she used, she vows to sue the clinic. Adam advises Bethany and Sarah to demand compensation from a director of the Turkish clinic who happens to live in the UK.

But she’s left gobsmacked when he reveals their name. Interestingly Debbie Webster appears to be hiding something, and her mood quickly changes when she hears Bethany’s threats to sue the company – so does she know who the director is?
