Kit hides sinister secret in Coronation Street as car is torched and local badly hurt

Craig talks to Kit in the police station in Corrie

Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) proves to be a manipulative and sly individual once more in Coronation Street soon as he hides a secret following a car crash.

The police officer is the son of Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) and arrived earlier this year when she went in search of her boy. At first, Kit was reluctant to build a relationship with his biological family because of the resentment he felt towards Bernie, who put him up for adoption when he was little.

As a result of Paul’s (Peter Ash) MND diagnosis, Kit learnt to warm to his new siblings and built relationships with them before Paul died.

We’ve also seen time and time again that Kit is someone who will happily bend the rules to get what he wants.

He tricked Ryan (Ryan Prescott) into revealing information about Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) so he could impress her, and forced Beth (Lisa George) to leave town so the Weatherfield resident didn’t find out he’s a bent copper.

In upcoming episodes, Debbie Webster’s (Sue Devaney) car is destroyed when someone crashes it. A few days later, she learns the vehicle has been discovered, but is now completely burnt out.

But this point, Shona (Julia Goulding) has injured her arm and confesses to Adam (Sam Robertson) that it was sustained as a result of being almost run over by a car linked to Debbie’s stolen vehicle.

Later, when Craig (Colson Smith) sees Shona out of the station, he tells Kit that the case is far from over. But when the dodgy cop then hears Craig on the phone double checking CCTV footage, he kills the call and reminds Craig that he’s in charge.

A sinister moment and perhaps proof that Kit knows more about the crash than he’s letting on.

So what really happened?
