ITV Coronation Street fans fume over bully Mason Radcliffe blunder as they ‘work out’ downfall

Coronation Street fans were left angry on Thursday’s episode as Mason Radcliffe’s bullying storyline continued.

Only recently on the ITV soap, Sean Tully’s son, Dylan, and schoolmate Mason have been bullying Maria Connor’s son Liam, who contemplated ending his own life in heartbreaking scenes.

In a recent episode, Sean found messages on Dylan’s phone, which proved they had been bullying Liam. Sean was left horrified to find homophobic messages as he confronted Dylan, pointing out he has a gay dad and he was ashamed of his son’s behaviour.

However, in a twist, Mason later arrives at Dylan’s house and warns him that the same thing will happen to him if he brings his name into it, leaving the youngster clearly horrified. On Thursday’s episode, Sean made Dylan promise to give Mrs Crawshaw the names of the bullies.

However, when he read a threatening text from Mason, Dylan was visibly scared. Later, Dylan showed the headteacher the texts on his phone but when she asked him to name the other bullies, he refused to grass up Mason. This left Mrs Crawshaw exasperated as she admitted she had no choice but to suspend him.

Later, a furious Sean made it clear to Dylan that by protecting Mason, he was making matters worse and in retaliation, he confiscated his phone and laptop. Viewers were left frustrated as they fumed how no one could realise that it was Mason causing all the bullying and why he wasn’t being held accountable.

Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “Mason bullies in front of everyone yet no one notices!”, a different account put: “#Corrie Wake up Crawshaw, Sean just told you it was Mason”, another viewer said: “Surely they know Mason is involved? #corrie” while a different fan added: “It’s blatantly obvious who else was involved ffs!”

Elsewhere, other soap watchers were quick to point out Mason’s downfall, suggesting Sean has taken Dylan’s confiscated phone to the school. One person said: “Demand to see his phone Sean #corrie” while another added: “Sean needs to tell the school and take Dylan’s phone to the head and make sure Mason is expelled from the school!”
