Corrie fans shocked by Ryan’s new appearance as character returns to ITV soap
Fans of ITV's Coronation Street couldn't hold back their confusion during Friday night's episode (March 1) as Ryan Prescott looked different when he made his anticipated comeback
Coronation Street viewers were left gobsmacked by Ryan Connor’s appearance when he returned to the soap.
On Friday night’s (March 1) visit to the cobbles, fans were excited to see Ryan (Ryan Prescott) back on their box after he jetted off to Scotland with his partner, Crystal. But newly-single Ryan was looking very different indeed as the huge scar on his face looked much smaller.
Ryan was unfortunately a victim of an acid attack when he tried to save his close friend Daisy from an evil stalker. Ryan’s scar changed his perspective on life as he went on a downward spiral last year.Fans headed straight over to X, formerly Twitter, to share their confusion at how much Ryan’s scar had shrunk. One shocked fan said: “Ryan’s face looks to have cleared up a lot.”
Another said: “As predicted Ryan comes back with a mere blemish on his face.” A third chimed: “Ryan’s acid scar has practically disappeared.”
Another wrote: “Ryan and his miraculous self healing skin”. Meanwhile another fan added: “Ryan doesn’t look quite as Harvey Dented-up tonight as usual. Thought he was cured for a minute.”
When Ryan left Coronation Street last year, there was nothing but turmoil going on in his life. At the time, Ryan’s affair with Daisy came to light, leaving Daniel gutted when he discovered what Daisy had done.
With emotions running at an all time high, Daniel called off his upcoming wedding to Daisy. He also tried to ruin Ryan’s new job opportunity too.
On Friday’s show, Ryan expressed that he still had feelings for Daisy, despite the turbulence they both experienced in the past. To Ryan’s surprise, his confession was well received as Daisy welcomed his advances with a kiss.
But fans were left divided on the potential new romance, as some believed that Daisy could be using Ryan to get back at her ex, Daniel. Heading back to X, fans shared their thoughts.
One fan wrote: “Ryan’s just going to be the rebound guy, but you know he’s all for that.” Another viewer echoed: “I’m not a soap shipper but Ryan and Daisy are so toxic she really should be with Daniel.”
