Coronation Street legend returns to bad news about the person he loves
Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) returns from his holiday in upcoming Coronation Street episodes, and his hopes for a quiet rest over the Christmas period are quickly destroyed when a police officer arrives to see Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).
While Nick has been away, Leanne (Jane Danson) has been busy continuing her revenge plan after learning her ex is still seeing her sister.
She’s done this by creating a fake bank account and making it look as though Toyah is committing fraud.
When Nick gets home, Leanne ushers him into the office at the Bistro and explains there’s a problem with the accounts. After taking a look, Nick freezes an account called TLH Holdings after noticing a series of payments.
Toyah then arrives for her shift. She’s excited to see Nick, but that turns to shock when Kit (Jacob Roberts) enters and arrests her on suspicion of theft and fraud by abuse of trust.
‘It’s an enormous shock, she’s completely blindsided by it because she hasn’t done anything wrong’, Georgia Taylor said.
‘Nick’s been away with Sam, she’s really missed him but in the meantime Leanne has been really messing with them both, sending text messages which we may later find out not be true, so Toyah is desperate to see Nick and make sure they’re still on track, then she’s met by this.
‘She walks into the bistro giddy to see him and then Kit is there arresting her on suspicion of fraud which is the last thing she thought was ever going to happen.’
As the festive period continues, Nick visits Adam (Sam Robertson) and Alya (Sair Khan), hoping for some help regarding Leanne’s revenge. Adam tells him to do some digging in order to prove that Leanne set him and Toyah up.
After a comment from Amy (Elle Mulvaney) about Nick apparently sending flirting texts while he was on holiday, he’s given a glimmer of hope when he checks some CCTV and realises Leanne has two phones.
It’s a step in the right direction, but will Nick go as far as shopping Leanne to the police?
