Despite heading to the abortion clinic in Friday’s episode of the ITV soap, Dee-Dee confessed that she had changed her mind.

Her dad Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) was delighted by the news about his future grandchild.

However, he was left heartbroken to discover that Dee-Dee plans to give the baby up for adoption.

Ed urged her to think it through, but Dee-Dee told him that she has thought of nothing else and is certain it is the right thing to do.

Meanwhile, Dee-Dee told Joel’s parents that she aborted the baby, after they worked out she was pregnant with their grandchild.

And Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) was overjoyed to learn Dee-Dee was keeping the baby.

She recently discovered her son Frankie, who is also Joel’s baby, has a medical condition called severe aplastic anaemia.

It is a rare but serious blood disorder which is a result of the bone marrow not producing enough blood cells.

Frankie needs a bone marrow transplant and a sibling is most likely to be a match.

Dee-Dee updated Lauren with her news that she couldn’t go through with the abortion.

Lauren embraced her and thanked her as she gives hope for baby Frankie.

But will Dee-Dee go through with the adoption?

Or can Ed change her mind?
