Graham Wardle’s Shocking Indifference to Heartland: Does He Really Not Care?
“Does Graham Wardle Really Care About Heartland Fans, or Is He Just Using Them?”
Even though Graham Wardle left Heartland years ago, it seems he still uses the Heartland name and its fans for his own benefit—a move that has raised eyebrows among many, including myself. Let me explain.
After leaving the series, Graham appeared to have distanced himself from the show’s cast and crew. At the beginning of his podcast, Time Has Come, he seemed to leverage his Heartland connections, inviting guests like Amber Marshall and Jessica Amlee to help promote it. Some might say these were simply close friends, but others might argue that he strategically invited the most recognizable names he could to gain attention for his new venture.
For years, Graham’s interactions with his former Heartland castmates were minimal, except for occasional appearances with Kerry James, who is his best friend outside the show. However, in recent months, Graham has been spotted visiting the Heartland set and interacting with his so-called friends from the show. Initially, I thought Graham regretted leaving the series and was attempting to reconnect with the cast, possibly hinting at a return to Heartland.
But then, everything started to make sense when Graham announced the release of his new poetry book, Time Has Come. He advertised the book on his social media platforms—which is expected for an author—but what truly caught my attention was the book signing event he held at Amber Marshall’s Country Store.
For those who don’t know, Amber Marshall runs a store where she sells various products, including clothing, accessories, and jewelry. It seemed odd that Graham chose Amber’s store as the venue for his book signing event. During the event, Amber was by his side, supporting him wholeheartedly. They had a great day meeting fans, taking pictures, and, of course, promoting Graham’s book.
Amber even went so far as to post about Graham’s book on her social media accounts, giving him significant publicity. But it’s hard to ignore the pattern here. Just like with his podcast, Graham appeared to rely on his Heartland connections only when he needed them the most.
It raises a valid question: why do we only see Graham reconnecting with his Heartland family when he has something to promote? If this closeness were consistent—if Graham regularly interacted with his former castmates—I wouldn’t have any issue with it. But the timing is suspicious.
Most Heartland fans, myself included, know that 95% of Graham’s followers come from the show. Heartland made him famous, and it seems like he is aware of this, using it to his advantage when it suits him. Since leaving Heartland, many fans have hoped and pleaded for his return, but Graham only seems to remember those fans when he has something new to sell or promote.
So, what’s next? Will Graham continue this pattern, or will we see a genuine effort to remain connected to the cast and fans beyond promotional events? Time will tell.
I know this might sound a bit judgmental, but it comes from a place of love for both Graham and Heartland. Like many fans, I want to see him back on the show where he first captured our hearts.
