Coronation Street spoilers: Murderer Harvey Gaskell exacts killer revenge on Sarah and Bethany Platt

Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) made a huge mistake when he struck a deal with Coronation Street killer Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor). And the consequences of breaking that deal are deadly, as upcoming episodes reveal.

When Harvey’s brother Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) returned to Weatherfield and rekindled his romance with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), Adam was devastated.

With Sarah apparently ready to make a go of things with Damon, Adam knew he’d have to think of something drastic to get rid of his rival for good.

So he visited Harvey, who is in prison for the killing of Natasha Blakeman.

Adam told Harvey he was ready to do whatever it might take to get Damon away from Weatherfield and the bargain he struck was that if Harvey helped him, he would do all he could to support Harvey’s appeal against his sentence.

Obviously the idea of putting Harvey Gaskell back on the streets is more than a tad scary, and in upcoming episodes Adam has second thoughts about the plan.

In fact he places the USB that contains footage of Natasha’s killing into a jiffy bag, which is soon in the hands of the police.

Harvey does not react well to this news, and is soon on the phone threatening Adam that he should watch his back.

Adam is obviously concerned by this, but his priority is that he wants to try to build bridges with Sarah. He heads over to her flat and tells her he doesn’t want a divorce. He says he loves her and he’d like to give their relationship another try.

Completely thrown by his words, Sarah doesn’t know how to react and runs out of the flat. Bethany (Lucy Fallon) sees that her mum is upset and goes after her.

Just as she reaches Sarah they hear a car engine and realise that the vehicle is heading straight for them at speed.

It seems that Harvey’s warning to Adam wasn’t just an empty threat – but it’s Sarah and Bethany who’ve paid the price.
