Coronation Street spoilers: Murder horror for Carla as two major characters have their lives utterly destroyed

Coronation Street with Leanne, Gemma, Chesney, Roy, DS Swain and Daniel

Lives are on the line in next week’s episodes of Coronation Street, as missing teen Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) finds herself central to a murder mystery.

And two cobbles favourites are under the radar, as Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) finds his past relationships under deep scrutiny. And worse follows, when our beloved Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is arrested, suspected of killing his former employee.

The chain of events throws the Street into chaos, with Carla Connor (Alison King) and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) left devastated by what this will mean for their friend.

In other developments, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) makes a plea to Amy (Elle Mulvaney) and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) gets some news.

Monday March 11

Bobby suggests Sean should think about renting Lauren’s old flat. But when Sean says he saw what looked like blood on the curtains Carla and Bobby head straight for the police station and tell DS Swain.

DS Swain and Craig let themselves into Lauren’s flat and survey the extent of the blood stains.

Bobby tells them about her relationship with Roy, how he gave her a job, found her somewhere to live and cleaned up the mess in the flat after she left. DS Swain calls at the café and questions Roy.

Stu tells Yasmeen that he’s going to put the £10k into trust for Eliza’s future. Eliza finds the envelope containing £10k in Stu’s coat pocket together with a note that reads “I’m sorry I let Eliza down”. As Eliza and Alya look at him expectantly, Stu’s heart sinks.

As Sean scrolls on his phone looking at flats to rent, Dylan insists he wants nothing more to do with Mason. A guilty Eileen assures them there’s no rush to move out and to take their time.

As Gary and Maria discuss Liam’s home-schooling routine, they’re interrupted by a knock on the door from the police.

The police tell Gary and Maria that Mason’s been charged with threatening with a bladed article in a public space and he’ll likely receive a custodial sentence.

Simon tells Nick and Leanne that he’s prepared for whatever punishment the magistrate throws at him tomorrow as he deserves it. Sam agrees to write a character reference for Simon.

Sarah and Damon excitedly show Gail the details of a house they’re going to view. Damon calls Harvey and tells him he wants a cut of the profits from the job or he’ll go to the police then makes out to Sarah that he’s spoken to his financial advisor and they can afford to buy the house of her dreams.

Wednesday March 13

Bobby and Max have spent the night watching the police coming and going from Lauren’s flat.

When Bethany and Daniel call round at No.8 to ask about Lauren Max quizzes Daniel about his tutor sessions.

Realising the dates don’t stack up, Max eyes Daniel with suspicion.

When Max goes to the station to tell Swain about Lauren’s O-Vidz account he discovers Ryan had already told her. DS Swain questions Max about Lauren’s secret boyfriend.

Max admits that he never met her boyfriend, but he suspects it’s Daniel Osbourne.

DS Swain quizzes Daniel about his relationship with Lauren, suggesting that she paid for her lessons with sex. Daniel’s horrified and when DS Swain drags up his previous relationships with Summer and Nicky Wheatle he demands a solicitor realising he is under suspicion.

Bethany and Daniel listen in horror to a radio interview with DS Swain in which she suggests that Lauren was murdered.

Hope, Sam and Eliza manage to track down Dom to the Chariot Square Hotel bar. Eliza calls at Speed Daal with Dom in tow.

With Stu and Yasmeen present, Eliza tells Dom that she’s not prepared to lose him again and she’d like to move to Germany with him.

As Leanne and Simon get ready to leave for court, Nick makes out that he’s far too busy to go with them. Simon’s disappointed and Leanne shoots him a filthy look.

Tracy persuades a reluctant Amy to meet her for lunch. Amy meets up with Tracy for lunch in the bistro, but she’s unimpressed to discover Tommy there too.

When Tracy explains that she thought it would be nice for them to get to know each other, Amy scowls and orders the most expensive Champagne.

Linda broaches the subject of Joseph’s schoolwork with Chesney and reckons he’d benefit from a move to Oakhill. When Linda offers to pay the fees, Chesney’s gobsmacked.

Friday March 15

Daniel confides in Ken that he hasn’t slept a wink fearing he’ll be banged up for a murder he didn’t commit.

Meanwhile it becomes clear that Roy is getting trolled online and Carla is forced to show him the vile comments.

Max wants to do another appeal but Carla and Nina warn Roy not to do the appeal as it’ll only invite further unwanted attention.

Suzi from the Gazette arrives at the café hoping to record a fresh appeal. But they’re interrupted by the arrival of DS Swain who tells Roy she’s arresting him on suspicion of the murder of Lauren Bolton.

Leanne tells Debbie that she’s taking Simon to the The Institute seminar at the Chariot Square Hotel. D

ebbie suggests she takes Nick along too so they can check out the wedding fayre. Under pressure, Nick reluctantly agrees to accompany Leanne to the wedding fayre.

Meanwhile Rowan from The Institute charms Leanne and gives her the benefit of his advice. Leanne’s taken aback.

Rowan talks to Leanne and encourages her to share her innermost thoughts and feelings. As he makes to leave, he flashes her a smile and Leanne finds herself blushing.

Gemma stuffs the Oakhill prospectus in a drawer and instructs Chesney to have a word with Linda and tell her to back off. In the Rovers, Izzy and Gemma lambast Linda for the way she favours Joseph over Jake and the quads.

Dee-Dee and Paul point out to Gemma that Oakhill is the opportunity of a lifetime and she shouldn’t deprive Joseph simply because she hates his grandmother.

As Eliza practises her German, determined that one day she’ll go and live with Dom, Stu comes to a decision.

Stu admits to Dom that he’s been entirely selfish and suggests that Eliza has two weeks with him in Germany at Easter as a trial run with a view to moving there permanently.In a bid to cheer him up, Amy suggests to Steve they watch a movie together later. When Toyah lets slip that Amy had lunch with Tracy and Tommy and they appeared to hit it off, Steve’s upset and Toyah realises she’s put her foot in it.
