Coronation Street have teased two more exits

Coronation Street spoilers have teased another two exits from the Cobbles.

The ITV soap is currently seeing a mass exodus, with Colson Smith – who plays Craig Tinker – and Charlotte Jordan, who stars as Daisy Midgeley, already confirmed to be leaving. Gail Platt star Helen Worth left on Christmas Day whilst Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, is also leaving the show. Sue Devaney – who plays Debbie Webster – is expected to be leaving too.

Next week on the ITV soap, it looks like two exits are looming. As the fall out from Mason Radcliffe’s shock death continues, Dylan struggles knowing he was the one who brought the knife to the fight between Mason and his brothers.

Dylan soon finds out from police officer Kit that he is going to be charged with possession of a bladed article. Dylan is horrified as he listens to what lies ahead – but could this lead to an exit for the teenager?

Elsewhere, there seems to be trouble ahead for Bethany Platt and Daniel Osbourne. Bethany reveals to her former rival Daisy that she has been offered her dream job in London, working on a new magazine.

Daisy urges Bethany to tell Daniel the good news and says he’ll be overjoyed – but how will he react on learning that Bethany wants to move away, given that he still has feelings for Daisy? Will this lead to an exit for Bethany?

Sources have claimed that Coronation Street actors have been left concerned over who will leave next.

A source had said: “There’s a WhatsApp group which has been pinging with messages about concerns of where the axe will fall next. It’s a tough time on the soap and it’s filtering down. There is a feeling more people will be cut to save money and to keep the best paid stars like Bill Roache and Jack P Shepherd on board.

“Filming is tough. One person moaned they were worked like dogs. With the grip on the purse being tightened by ITV, it’s not fun. The days of bumper pay are gone. Coronation Street used to be jewel in ITV’s crown. Now there’s a despondent feeling among actors.”

Charlotte Jordan confirmed her exit earlier this week. In a statement, she said: “My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish. After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.”
