Coronation Street’s Rob Donovan to ‘strike again’ as fans fear for beloved resident
Coronation Street killer Rob Donovan made his shock return to the Cobbles last week - but fans are convinced that it won't be long before he strikes again

Fans of Coronation Street are speculating that Rob Donovan, the infamous killer, might be on the verge of committing another murder.
Rob (played by Marc Baylis) recently made a surprising comeback to the cobbles after an eight-year hiatus. Viewers will remember that Rob is serving time for the 2014 murder of Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan).
However, when his sister Carla Connor (Alison King) needed a kidney transplant, his son Bobby (Jack Carroll) decided to intervene.
Bobby visited Rob last week to disclose the situation – and although initially resistant, Rob eventually reconsidered. In Monday’s episode (January 13), Bobby returned to prison to convince Rob to undergo testing as a potential donor.
The plot took a dramatic twist when fellow inmate Matty (Seamus McGoff) brandished a knife and seized a prison guard, Mandy. Fans will recall that Matty is incarcerated for stabbing and killing his own brother Mason (Luca Toolan).

Matty threatened to murder prison guard Mandy, and when Rob intervened, Matty redirected his threats towards Bobby, holding him at knifepoint.
Both Mandy and Rob tried to defuse the situation, and as tensions rose, Rob managed to pin Matty against the wall, allowing staff to intervene and restrain Matty.
Overwhelmed by his father’s life-saving actions, Bobby later revealed to Carla that Rob has changed – a revelation that horrified Carla.
In a shocking turn of events, viewers were gobsmacked to discover that the entire hostage situation was nothing but an elaborate ruse orchestrated by the scheming Rob.
Now, Coronation Street fans are biting their nails with worry that the menacing Rob may claim another victim soon and it seems one Weatherfield local might be in grave danger. A troubled fan dashed to a Corrie Facebook group, posting: “What is Rob up to? Really thought he had changed.”
Another viewer speculated with a sense of impending doom: “I can see him killing again tbh. Maybe Bobby as revenge for disowning him?”
Echoing this sentiment, a third fan added: “Yeah Bobby, I can’t see him killing Carla.”
