Coronation Street viewers believe they’ve cracked the mystery of who really killed Lisa Swain’s wife Becky, and it wasn’t Mason’s brothers.
Lisa (played by Vicky Myers) first graced the soap in 2021, with her mischievous daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) making her debut earlier this year. Although she has never been seen on screen, Lisa’s wife and fellow police officer, Becky, tragically died while on duty.
As per Lisa’s account, Becky was pursuing a suspect who hopped into a getaway car and fatally struck her down. In the midst of Lisa’s blossoming romance with Carla Connor (Alison King), she made a startling revelation about her wife’s death last month.
She found out that the thuggish brothers Matty (Seamus McGoff) and Logan (Harry Lowbridge) were implicated. Earlier this month, their other brother Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) pledged to assist Lisa in bringing his wicked brothers to justice.
Lisa’s wife and Betsy’s mum died recently
Lisa presented Mason with crime scene photos from the tragic incident involving her late wife Becky. She revealed that his brothers Matty and Logan were driving the car that hit Becky, prompting Mason to take action.
Despite obtaining a piece of evidence to apprehend his brothers, they were released from jail as the evidence was insufficient to hold them, reports Lancs Live.
Viewers don’t think Mason’s brothers killed Becky
The situation took a chilling turn when Matty and Logan pursued Mason and stabbed him, leading to his death. Matty has since been arrested and is likely to be charged for Mason’s murder, while Logan is currently at large.
Corrie fans are on the edge of their seats, convinced that Mason’s brothers aren’t Becky’s killer, but instead someone much closer to poor Lisa.
Fans reckon Kit killed her
Avid watchers on a Corrie Facebook fan forum are pointing fingers at dodgy Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who swaggered into Weatherfield and hasn’t stopped stirring trouble.
“I’m now thinking BECKY Lisa’s ex was 100% onto Kit’s dodgy dealings and bent copper antics and had evidence to bring him down, so he killed her,” one fan speculated wildly.
An agreement came quick: “Yep, I thought the same.” Another jumped in, saying, “Kit said to Lisa in an earlier episode that Becky was one of the best. So he must know her.” While another fan hyped up the theory: “Yes! What a theory!”
