But there’s a heart-thumping twist: pregnant Daisy Midgeley makes a dash from the pub right when David’s getting bowled over, leading to both characters getting hit. At death’s door with Shona Platt by his side, David’s bleeding out while Kit Green frantically calls for medics.

Simultaneously, we’ve got Jenny Connor and Daniel Osbourne fretting over Daisy, with her unborn kid’s safety on the line, reports Lancs Live.

David planned to get himself killed

While chatting it up on This Morning, Jack, aged 37, talked about his near-25-year run on the Street, telling Sharon Marshall, and hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley: “Yeah, 25 years, it’s a long time, I think it’s 25 years next month.”

Dropping a bombshell, he adds: “It would have been nice to kind of reach that milestone but… sadly, tonight’s the end, so… but I’ve loved every minute of it!”.

The shocking revelation left Sharon, Ben and Cat all gobsmacked back in the studio as Ben queried: “Jack, is tonight the actual end for your character?” to which Jack responded: “Yeah! I can’t believe we’ve managed to keep it out for so long but I think everybody will enjoy it!”.
