Coronation Street spoilers: Tracy and Rob twist, concern for Debbie and James’ shock plan
There’s big scenes ahead on Coronation Street, with several characters taking centre stage.
We’ve got a character making a comeback with a new face as the role has been recast. There’s hints of a devastating new storyline kicking off for Debbie Webster.
Rob Donovan’s reign of terror escalates, as he’s reunited with his stunned ex Tracy Barlow. There’s big discoveries, some news and big changes on the way in Weatherfield.
Let’s kick things off with all things Rob, who remains on the run after escaping prison. Ahead of a new siege drama, Betsy Swain is still too terrified to leave the flat with Rob on the loose after a scary incident the week before.
Betsy’s mother Lisa confides in partner Carla Connor about her fears, with Carla also fearing what her brother Rob will do next. When Carla heads to the hospital with pal Roy Cropper she spots Mandy, Rob’s secret fling and prison guard who helped him escape – leading to Carla and Lisa following her.
But it’s not Carla or Lisa who end up tracking Rob down, it’s an unsuspecting Tracy. She comes face-to-face with a dishevelled Rob on the street and soon she’s asked to help him flee.

It seems Tracy does offer her services and when Rob joins her in her house, they panic when Mary knocks at the door. Tracy manages to get rid of her but soon Rob collapses in pain, and when he tells her they should leave together and start a new life, Tracy’s stunned.
Elsewhere there’s concern for Cassie Plummer after her vile actions led to her being disowned by everyone, and she relapsed. Evelyn Plummer is desperate to help her addict daughter, while Cassie meets with a dealer wanting her next fix.
Roy threatens to call the police though, while Ken Barlow finds out about Tracy tempting Cassie with drugs and tells her to leave. Also next week James Bailey returns, to the surprise of his pregnant sister Dee-Dee.
His real intentions are revealed though, just as Dee-Dee finds out that Lauren’s son Frankie will no longer need to rely on her baby as a donor for his health issues. James soon suggests to his sister that he and his partner could adopt her baby and provide it with a loving and safe home.
Dee-Dee pushes on with the adoption process though, wanting to arrange a meeting with some prospective parents – but will it be James and Danny or another couple? Debbie Webster sparks concern next week too, following the news she will be diagnosed with dementia in a future storyline.

Debbie’s adamant she never received it and refuses to pay Mick, but could this be linked to her future diagnosis? Elsewhere next week and newcomer Brody takes action when Dylan Wilson is told to stay clear from him.
Dylan’s dad Sean gets a shock after a visit when Brody approaches and demands Sean fetch him a burner phone or he’ll make Dylan’s life a misery. When Dylan is told what happened, Dylan tries to get his new friend to back off only for Brody and the other boys to take action.
