Coronation Street star speaks out over Tracy’s sick revenge plan for Cassie
Coronation Street's Tracy Barlow actress Kate Ford has revealed all on her character's sickening plan against Cassie Plummer, leading to devastating scenes on the ITV soap
There were some horrifying scenes on Coronation Street on Friday night as Tracy Barlow took a sickening revenge against Cassie Plummer.
While viewers were thrilled to see Cassie get her comeuppance for drugging and stealing from Ken Barlow, Tracy went to grim lengths to get payback. Knowing all about Cassie’s drug addiction, Tracy was shown luring Cassie to the house under false pretences in the latest episode on Friday night.
She soon tempted her with a bag of drugs, encouraging her to relapse no doubt setting out to ruin her life over her treatment of Ken. The scenes saw Tracy tell her: “Go on, you know you want to.”
She claimed she was “trying to help” her before taunting her, and telling her “to get off her face” and take the drugs to “melt away” her problems. Cassie grabbed the drugs and left, leaving her smirking.
Later in the episode we saw Cassie hiding in the ginnel making a call to a dealer, with Tracy once again smirking to realise her gross plan had worked. Spoilers for upcoming episode have revealed Cassie struggles amidst her relapse, and now actress Kate has had her say on the dark plot.

Actress Kate revealed all, as soon Tracy’s actions will be exposed leading to her facing a comeuppance of her own. Explaining Tracy’s grim actions, she said: “In that anger that she felt for her she wanted her to get some sort of karmic punishment.
“For that hot minute she wanted her to have some sort of punishment for what she did because it felt like Cassie had got away with it and Tracy doesn’t think she should get away fully with what she did to Ken.
“What she did to Ken was extreme and Tracy’s really angry that it’s gone seemingly unpunished, especially because Steve still seems to find her attractive. It’s not that Tracy wants Steve, but she can’t believe that he would still think that and it’s like this woman has just got away with it.”
She went on: “All she can think about is that Ken is going to forgive Cassie, she’s going to get away with it and everybody’s just going to forgive her. That’s making her so angry and upset.”
Spoilers for next week’s episodes reveal that Cassie’s struggles continue, as her family end up getting involved. With Evelyn Plummer keen to help her daughter, Ken is disgusted over Tracy’s behaviour and kicks her out.
