Coronation Street confirms return after 12 months – and Jenny Connor should be worried

Coronation Street's Jenny Connor will be left fuming next week as she discovers that her stepdaughter Daisy Midgeley has been plotting against her with her mum Christina Boyd

Next week on Coronation Street, the cobbles are set to welcome back a familiar face, and it seems there’s trouble brewing for Jenny Connor. However, this isn’t the only big news on the soap.

Upcoming episodes will see Daisy Midgeley still vexed from their recent clash, confessing to Daniel Osbourne that her stepmum Jenny has crossed the line this time.

The plot thickens as Daisy’s long-lost mother Christina Boyd unexpectedly rocks up at the Rovers, with Daisy pretending to be shocked. As Christina settles in at the pub, Daisy tells a stunned Jenny she doesn’t know if she’ll ever be able to forgive her for her cruel words.

However, vengeance seems to be Daisy’s game plan, as teasers show her and Christina drawing Jenny into a deceptive web with the mention of Dom, a dashing gent Daisy met on a dating app.

Things escalate when a bouquet of flowers arrives, followed by another sneaky message from Christina. Daisy starts fretting about Jenny’s potential desire to meet the elusive Dom in person, reports Leicestershire Live.

Will the pair’s scheme come crashing down, and how will Jenny react when she discovers their duplicity?

It coincides with star Amy Robbins spilling the beans earlier this year about her return to the soap. Fans of the show will remember Christina’s previous stint on the street in April last year.

Amy took to Instagram to celebrate her comeback, sharing a snap outside the iconic Rovers alongside co-star Tony Maudsley, aka George Shuttleworth, captioning it: “Back at @coronationstreet with my bezzie!”.

The actress first waltzed onto the Coronation Street scene as Christina in 2023, making sporadic appearances until April 2024.

The talented actress boasts an impressive list of roles including Dr. Jill Weatherill in The Royal, Defence Barrister Milligan in Emmerdale, and not forgetting her part as Caren in EastEnders.

Meanwhile, Christina is set to make a comeback just as the Corrie set bids farewell to Daisy actress Charlotte Jordan after a triumphant five-year run.

29 year old Charlotte spoke earlier this year about her decision to leave the cobbles: “My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish.”

She’s had a fantastic four-year stretch with Daisy but now feels it’s time to turn the page and seek out fresh opportunities.

Charlotte expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much.”

What will become of Daisy as she makes her exit? With her mum Christina swinging back into the picture, could mother and daughter’s fates be intertwined?
