Coronation Street fans are certain they know what has happened to Alina Pop.
Alina (Ruxandra Porojnicu) made her debut on the cobbles back in 2019 – and it didn’t take her long to ruffle a few feathers. In 2020, she drove a wedge between Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and his long-term partner Fiz (Jennie Mcalpine).
Sparks immediately flew between the two, with Tyrone making the difficult decision to call time on his nine-year relationship with Fiz. However, after Alina got pregnant, the mechanic’s pyromaniac daughter Hope (Isabella Flanagan) wasn’t happy with her dad’s new girlfriend.
Hellbent on splitting the pair up, Hope lit a fire in the flat which inevitably caused Alina to miscarry her baby. Alina eventually left the cobbles – and despite telling Tyrone she was pregnant she informed him she wasn’t actually – and had the dates mixed up.
However, in her final scene, viewers saw her at the airport departures lounge where she cradled her blossoming baby bump. And in 2024, Alina made her comeback to Weatherfield – and she had a huge bombshell to drop on Tyrone.
Alina returned to the cobbles to give evidence against the leader of the human trafficking group that previously targeted her. After bumping into Tyrone, she revealed that she was actually pregnant and Tyrone is the father to her son, Dorin.

While on the cobbles, she also dropped the huge bombshell on Tyrone that she was actually pregnant and he is the father to her baby son, Dorin – whom he later met.
When Alina started receiving threatening messages warning her not to testify, she fled the UK and left Dorin with Tyrone and Fiz. She eventually came back when it was safe and collected Dorin to take him back to Romania.
However, this week, Tyrone was left gobsmacked when he came home from the Rovers to find Dorin there. According to Fiz, Alina’s house was flooded so she sent Dorin to the UK with one of her friends.

Fiz then shared that she agreed to take care of Dorin until things are sorted out – leaving Tyrone thrilled However, fans can’t help but fear that something sinister has happened to Alina – and her house isn’t actually flooded.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “So happy Dorin is back, he’s adorable.” Rushing to the comments section, fans put forward their grim theory. A second viewer penned: “I think Alina is lying and something bad has happened that’s why she’s given Tyrone Dorin.”
A third mused: “I have a bad feeling. Maybe it’s something to do with the traffickers?” Someone else chimed in: “Have they killed her?” A fifth wrote: “I said the same.”
