Mick risks killer Gary’s wrath ahead of surprise dramatic Coronation Street exit

A cocky Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) has befriended Gary Windass (Mikey North) in Coronation Street, no doubt under the impression the junk shop owner is simply a hardworking family man.

This is certainly true, but newcomer Mick doesn’t know the Gary of old, the one who killed Rick Neelan and caused the Underworld roof collapse. He’s got no idea about this side of Gary currently – but that might all change soon.

Mick continues the theme of simply picking fights to pass the time next week as he goes up against Theo (James Cartwright), who is stumbling around drunk after disappearing from the family home.

Spotting the vulnerable character, Mick picks an argument with him and then shoves him against the wall. Thankfully, Ronnie (Vinta Morgan) pulls Mick from Theo and sends him along.

In the week, Mick is taken to the police station after being arrested on suspicion of assault. He’s questioned by Kit (Jacob Roberts), who is surprisingly apprehensive about interviewing him.

Kit quickly interviews Mick and tells him he’s free to go. Afterwards, Mick corners Kit and tells him they need to have a chat.

A few days later, Mick continues to be an absolute nightmare while at the builder’s yard. With Liam (Charlie Wrenshall) and Jake (Bobby Bradshaw) present, Mick decides to play a prank on Liam.

He covers the lad in cement but Liam laughs along, believing he can be ‘one of the lads’ if he thinks it’s funny.

It’s clear Mick is targeting Liam, just what will Gary do if he finds out what’s going on?

And how will these scenes impact Mick’s upcoming exit from the show?
