Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) isn’t happy when her mum Christina (Amy Robbins) announces she’s coming to stay in Coronation Street.

Previously we’ve seen that there’s a long-running feud between Christina and Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), because Christina believes that Jenny was the reason her marriage broke down. This has previously led to the two women coming to blows.

As far as Christina’s relationship with her daughter is concerned, things have been strained between them for years.

In upcoming episodes of the ITV soap, Daisy receives a message from Christina, who says she’s going to stay for two very long weeks.

Daisy and Jenny decide together that Christina can’t stay but she ignores this due to her passport being out of date, so she arrives on the cobbles as an alternative to visiting her friend in Amsterdam.

In this new video, things are very awkward indeed.

Jenny is adamant that Christina isn’t welcome, which prompts her to call the pub owner (well, co-owner) ‘heartless’.

Just as Daisy tries to usher Christina out and to a hotel, Ryan (Ryan Prescott) enters. Christina takes advantage of Ryan’s kind heart and says she can’t understand why she’s being thrown out of the pub.

Ryan tells Christina to stay for a drink – because it’s the least they can do after she gave Daisy and Jenny all that cash.

Awkward.

Viewers know that Daisy got the money to buy the pub when she gained access to Stephen Reid’s secret bank account, where he’d hidden the money he stole from Underworld. Unable to admit where the money had come from, Daisy has let people believe that it was a loan from Christina.

How will Jenny and Daisy get out of this if Christina blows their cover?
