Coronation Street spoilers – Scandal as Gary Windass betrays Maria Connor with Sarah Platt – and she sees it all
Maria Connor’s (Samia Longchambon) uses her newly installed video camera to her advantage again in Coronation Street soon, as she spys on conversation between Gary Windass (Mikey North) and ex Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).
This week, after having a conversation about returning to work with Audrey (Sue Nicholls), Maria will use an app on her phone to watch son Liam (Charlie Wrenshall) and Gary in their flat.
Suffice to say that while this development is shocking from Maria, it’s comes from a place of worrying about her little boy.
A few weeks ago, Maria and Gary discovered Liam had been feeling suicidal and since then, Maria has done absolutely everything in her power to make sure Liam is safe and protected – leaving him at home while she goes to work was of course going to increase her anxiety.
In upcoming episodes, Liam announces that he feels ready to return to school but Maria refuses to discuss it.
Feeling overwhelmed, Maria later gets into an argument with Gary, who is hurt when she implies that he isn’t Liam’s real dad.
On the street, Sarah gets chatting to Gary and reveals it’s Damon’s (Ciaran Griffiths) sentencing today. In turn, Gary then opens up about Liam’s problems and his suicidal thoughts.
Having invited her back to the flat, Gary tells Sarah about Maria’s overprotective behaviour and how it’s ruining their relationship.
As the conversation continues, Maria checks the app on her phone and is intrigued to see Sarah and Gary in the flat.
Maria turns up the volume but just as she tunes into the conversation and realises what Gary and Sarah are saying, she’s left upset.
Back in the flat, Sarah takes a call from Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown), who reveals Damon has been sentenced to six years.
As Sarah starts to cry, Gary takes her in his arms.
But will Maria spot this?
If so, how will she react?
