Coronation Street’s Gary Windass in danger as star teases ‘something bad happens’
A Coronation Street actor has hinted at impending trouble for Gary Windass in future episodes.
This comes as fresh spoilers suggest peril for Gary, who seems to vanish, causing worry among his family next week. Earlier this week, after backing Lou Michaelis following her husband Mick Michaelis’ arrest for the murder of police officer Craig Tinker, Gary finally saw her true nature.
On Friday evening, Gary’s wife, Maria Connor, who has been suspicious of Lou, discovered her eyeing the salon’s cash at the Platt family’s residence during their summer barbeque.
Even though Lou chose not to take it, Maria jumped to conclusions and a tussle broke out, resulting in Lou tripping and crashing through David Platt’s cherished glass coffee table.
After the incident, Gary escorted Lou to the hospital, where they exchanged a charged look, while Maria was mistakenly arrested for Actual Bodily Harm (ABH) after Lou claimed her son, Brody, had reported her to the police, reports Belfast Live.
On Monday evening, Lou visited Gary’s home to express her gratitude, where they shared a drink alone while Maria was away. After memorising Gary’s passcode, Lou took the chance to send herself a damning text from his phone while he was in the loo.
Later, Lou attempted to kiss Gary who rejected her advances before she threatened him, warning him to comply with her demands or she will spill the beans to Maria.
However, Gary dared Lou to tell Maria as nothing had transpired and later announced to his family that he was leaving the cobbles to stay with his mum for a bit.
Maria was left with her suspicions on high alert as she directly questioned him about cheating on her with Lou, to which he denied. Meanwhile, a smug Lou was spotted perusing the text she cunningly sent from Gary’s phone, which read: “I want you. When can I see you again?”.
With Gary waving goodbye to the cobbles on Monday night, his exit quickly raises alarm bells. In upcoming teasers, a troubled Liam confides in Maria that Gary’s gone AWOL and hasn’t returned from visiting his mum as expected, prompting Maria to hide her own worries for Liam’s sake.
This twist follows Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd dropping hints of impending peril for Gary on the street. The actor behind David Platt dished to Digital Spy: “[Mick’s] still in it and he’s still doing naughty, bad things. I’m kind of involved in that, in a way.
“And then something happens with Gary. Something bad happens with Gary. I’m kind of involved in that.”
