ITV Coronation Street star breaks silence on huge Theo twist as Todd faces ‘danger’

Coronation Street star James Cartwright has broken his silence on a huge Theo Silverton twist as Todd Grimshaw “faces danger”.
Todd (Gareth Pierce) first crossed paths with scaffolder Theo, played by James, back in March, and the two quickly formed a bond.
However, it was later unveiled that Theo was married to a woman named Danielle (Natalie Anderson), and they had two children together.
Theo found himself shunned by his family when Danielle discovered his secret relationship with Todd.
That’s not all, as Theo also confessed to Todd that he’d spent most of his life hiding his true sexuality, after his deeply religious parents forced him into conversion therapy during his youth, reports Leicestershire Live.
On Monday (June 30), Todd discovered that Theo’s daughter, Millie (Kaitlyn Earley), had been lying about being pregnant.
Instead of coming clean to her dad, Millie spun a tale, claiming that Todd had advised her to have an abortion.
Although Theo initially accused Todd of deceit, he eventually saw sense and realised his daughter was the one who had been lying.
Later on, Theo issued a stern warning to James Bailey (Jason Callender) after he drunkenly attempted to kiss Todd at number eleven.
“If I ever catch you sneaking round him again, we’ll be exchanging more than just words,” the newcomer cautioned.
Soap viewers have been concerned for Todd after Theo has repeatedly lashed out in recent scenes, particularly after Glenda Shuttleworth’s (Jodie Prenger) drag night last month.
It appears that things won’t be getting any easier for Todd in upcoming scenes. During an appearance on Wednesday’s (July 2) Lorraine, Theo star James teased a “dark” outcome for the character as his relationship with Theo continues to develop.
“You can’t tell us too much, but it is going to get a little bit dark with you and the triangle and Todd,” host Lorraine Kelly said.
James responded: “I think it goes that way. The thing with Theo is he’s a very complicated man and although I don’t think he’s malicious, I don’t think he’s a psychopath or a sociopath or anything like that, but he’s a complicated man.
“People with baggage, what you realise as you get older is they don’t change. You want to change them, you can’t change them. But you love them, what do you do?”
