Coronation Street fans have been left convinced they know who will murder Billy Mayhew after it was reported that the character is set to be killed off in 'explosive scenes'

Coronation Street viewers reckon they’ve sussed out who’s going to bump off Billy Mayhew, following recent whispers that the character is set for a grisly end.
Billy, portrayed by Daniel Brocklebank, first graced the cobbles in 2014 and has since become a beloved fixture. He’s been at the heart of numerous dramatic storylines, from murder to drug addiction.
In addition to his gripping narratives, Billy has had a string of romances on the soap, including Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) and his husband Paul Foreman (Peter Ash).
However, Billy was left devastated last year when Paul succumbed to MND (motor neurone disease). Adding to the shock, it was announced this year that Daniel will be exiting Coronation Street in a thrilling storyline set to unfold on screen.

This week, reports surfaced that Daniel’s character is destined to meet an ‘explosive’ end. An insider spilled the beans to The Sun: “Corrie bosses are busy plotting how to kill off Billy, having decided to axe Daniel earlier this year.”, reports Leicestershire Live.
“There aren’t any plans to bring him back onto the soap so it makes sense to make his exit the most impactful and explosive it can be.”
They continued: “It’s likely Billy will be a focus point of the Christmas/New Year storylines, with fans expected to be at the edge of their seats in the run-up.”

A Coronation Street spokesperson maintained their policy of not commenting on storyline speculation.
But now, viewers are convinced they’ve worked out who’s going to bump Billy off – and it’s someone in his inner circle.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, supporters reckon that Theo Silverton, portrayed by James Cartwright, could wind up doing him in.
Theo burst onto the scene this year as Todd Grimshaw’s (Gareth Pierce) fresh love interest.

In a heart-to-heart with Todd, Theo revealed that his deeply religious parents forced him through conversion therapy as a youngster to “fix” his sexuality.
Whilst it’s obvious Theo’s been battling with his budding romance, he’s also displayed a menacing and sinister streak, leaving viewers worried. Now, with whispers of Billy getting the chop, fans reckon Theo will be behind his demise.
“Theo is def going to kill Billy off isn’t it? I have a feeling,” one viewer speculated. Another chipped in: “It wouldn’t surprise me, he has a dark side for sure.” A third then weighed in: “I thought this as well especially as Billy is leaving!”
