Coronation Street villain to be sent to prison as justice is served
A Coronation Street villain is finally facing justice after a long and terrifying process for his victim.
Vile bully Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) had been making poor Liam Connor’s (Charlie Wrenshall) life hell for months, and even went so far as to threaten him with a knife.
This left Liam having suicidal thoughts, much to Maria Connor’s (Samia Longchambon) horror, and she was desperate to see justice done.
In recent scenes, the time came for Liam and Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) to stand up in court and speak out against bully Mason, though the prospect was too daunting for Dylan.
Terrified of crossing his former friend, Dylan planned to run away, and asked Liam to do the same.
Thankfully, both boys eventually returned home and were soon on their way to court – though not before one of Mason’s cronies intercepted Dylan and warned him to lie in court or his parents would get hurt.
After Liam had bravely testified via video link, Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) was left horrified when Dylan lied to the court, and informed them that he hadn’t seen Mason with the knife at all.
Terrified Liam stormed out of court with Maria and Gary Windass (Mikey North) hot on his tail, while Mason watched on smugly.
After witnessing Liam’s distress and being informed by the prosecution lawyer that it wasn’t too late to tell the truth, Dylan apologised and revealed that he had seen Mason threatening Liam with the knife.
Having heard everything, the judge revealed that she was finding Mason guilty of the offence, much to everyone’s relief.
She then explained that because this wasn’t Mason’s first offence of this nature, she had no choice but to give him a custodial sentence.
Is this finally the end of Liam’s ordeal and the last we’ve seen of Mason?
