The real identity of Coronation Street’s Kit Green’s biological dad has been ‘worked out’ by fans and he’s a familiar face.

Kit (Jacob Roberts) made his debut on the ITV soap last year as Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazlegrove) estranged son – who she gave up for adoption almost thirty years ago.

All that Bernie knew was that he had his name changed from Zodiac to Christopher ‘Kit’ Green not long after he was born. However, Kit soon rocked up to Weatherfield and found out the truth.

Since then, it’s fair to say Kit has caused plenty of drama while getting to know his new family, including sister Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell).

From forcing legend Beth Tinker (Lisa George) out of town, to almost being killed by killer Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) Kit’s time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama.

Especially recently, as he was left gobsmacked after finding out he is the real father of troublemaker teen Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey). And in recent weeks, Kit has been keen to build a relationship with Brody, who appears to feel the same way.

Sarah spoke about his biological father

In Friday’s episode (August 8) Kit took Brody out for a meal, who was left unimpressed when he realised Kit’s girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) was there as well.

During the awkward meal, Brody made it clear he wasn’t a fan of Sarah. Trying to talk things out though, Sarah reminded Brody that Kit never met his biological dad and he should try and get to know Kit.

But following the “biological dad” comment, some fans have immediately ‘worked out’ who he could be. And in what would be a game-changing twist, they think he’s already on the cobbles.

“So Kit has a different dad to Gemma have Paul then? I’d put money on him showing up soon,” said one person on a Corrie Facebook fan page. Someone else suggested none other than Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

“Probably turn out to be Kevins,” they mused. A third chimed in: “It definitely wouldn’t be the strangest thing to have happened.” Another agreed: “True, if they retcon a few things it could work.” A fifth said: “They look similar as well.”
