Coronation Street spoilers next week reveal a surprise pregnancy, leaving one cobbles legend horrified.
In upcoming scenes, it’s Betsy Swain’s 18th birthday and she’s been out all night. Upon arriving home for her milestone party, a reflective Betsy raises a toast to the photo of her late mother Becky on the side .
It’s not long until Betsy announces she’s off into town with her mates to which protective mother DS Lisa Swain quizzes her about her social life.
Getting infuriated by her mother’s meddling and questions, Betsy points out she’s no longer a little girl and blurts out that she slept with Dylan Wilson last night.
Later, in the precinct, Betsy leaves a voice message for Dylan and another for Lisa but before she can finish, there’s a loud crash as a stolen car hits something… to which Betsy lets out a scream. Meanwhile, Lisa is left reeling in shock following the night’s events.

Elsewhere on the cobbles, David Platt’s daughter Lily tells her dad that she’s got stomach ache but he’s suspicious and sends her to school anway, thinking she’s just trying to skive school.
Later, David moans to sister Sarah Platt about how Lily’s been fighting over some lad and tried to skive off school, leaving his sibling concerned.
Things escalate when David spots new neighbour Carla Connor dumping rubbish in his bin. After rummaging through the items, he’s intrigued to find a pregnancy test.
Convinced it belongs to Betsy, a smug David shows sister Sarah but when she suggests it might be Lily’s, his glee soon turns to absolute horror.
Later in the week, Sarah rumbles a secret pregnancy on the cobbles. Meanwhile, David reacts as the owner of the pregnancy test comes forward but can they keep it under wraps and who does the secret pregnancy test belong to?

It comes as actress Grace Ashcroft-Gardner made her debut as Lily Platt, taking over from Brooke Malonie back in July.
Lily is the daughter of David and the late Kylie Platt, played by Paula Lane. She is also the half-sibling of Max Turner, played by Paddy Beaver.
The character of Lily has been played by several actors over the years. She was first played by twins Ava and Lilly Bushell from her birth in August 2013 until August 2014.
Betsie and Emmie Taylor took over the role from September 2014 until May 2016 followed by Brooke Malonie that same year until Grace Ashcroft-Gardner recently took over.
