Coronation Street’s Carla ‘having affair’ with cobbles legend after Lisa engagement
Coronation Street fans believe that Carla Connor is having an affair with a cobbles legend after her engagement to Lisa Swain.
Carla (Alison King) and Lisa (Vicky Myers) began dating at the end of last year and have since been branded a “power couple” by viewers.
The pair, who are affectionately called Swarla by fans, recently moved into number six with Lisa’s daughter, Betsy (Sydney Martin), and Carla’s nephew, Ryan (Ryan Prescott).
On Wednesday (September 3), Corrie viewers were delighted when Carla and Lisa got engaged outside Underworld.
After Carla’s proposal plans were derailed by David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) earlier in the week, Lisa unexpectedly called her partner out of work and into the street with her colleagues.

A uniform-clad Lisa, who was waiting outside with Ryan, delivered a heartwarming speech and got down on one knee, with Carla gladly accepting.
After the couple happily exchanged rings and a passionate kiss, several of the locals headed over to the Rovers to celebrate.
Later, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) was taken aback when Lisa mentioned how Logan Radcliffe (Harry Lowbridge) gave Carla a dead-end lead about Tia Wardley.
DI Costello (Daon Broni) then caught Kit searching for Tia’s name on his computer, and the police boss was later seen making an ominous phone call.
“Got a feeling DS Swain’s been whispering in his ear. She’s getting a bit too close for comfort. It’s okay, I’ll deal with Swain myself,” he said to an unknown caller.

In addition to a threat from Costello, Corrie fans believe that Carla and Lisa could also be rocked by a shocking affair, with many suspecting that Carla might cheat with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
Soap fans will know that Tracy is the sister of Carla’s ex-husband, Peter (Chris Gascoyne), who left Weatherfield back in 2023. Tracy is currently going through a divorce after she cheated on her ex-husband, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), with footballer Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn).
“I’ve just had a thought about Tracy and Carla. We’ve had confirmation that they are both attracted to women. They were rivals. Could these two hook up at some point?” one person wrote on Reddit.
Another added: “This would be insane!” while a third said: “What a plot twist!”
A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying, “I’ve been saying this for almost a year! The story potential it could bring is delicious, with the history of Carla and Peter, and the rivalry/hatred Carla and Tracy have always had for each other. It would be so interesting to play with that dynamic.”
