Coronation Street spoilers – Dee-Dee dies as she is caught in Roy’s crossfire?
Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) court case lands solicitor Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) in serious trouble in Coronation Street next week.
The legal high flyer dealt a devastating blow earlier this week when she revealed that the legendary café owner had been charged with the murder of troubled teen Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) and refused bail.
Roy has been in the frame for her murder since she went missing in February, and he accidentally disposed of key evidence when cleaning her maisonette flat.
After being targeted by cruel online trolls and far right extremists, an altercation with one bully pretending to be Lauren’s mum proved a step too far and during an altercation where he tried to grab her phone from her hand, she fell to the floor and hit her head.
Next week, things go from bad to worse when the barrister paints Roy as a violet man with a history of offences under his belt, mentioning the time he assaulted Gary Windass (Mikey North) and abducted Wayne Hayes (then Gary Damer).
Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) is handed a letter and struggles to fight back tears as it becomes evident her uncle is convinced he’s going to prison.
Dee-Dee puts forward her case and urges the Judge to grant Roy bail, but the application is refused and the Corrie stalwart is ordered to stay in custody until his trial.
Poor Roy.
In the solicitors, she takes a call which shocks her, but quickly covers when her business partner Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) notices the surprise on her face.
As Joel Deering (Calum Lill) helps her with Roy’s bail application, he notices that she’s received some death threats by email – will she be okay?
