Is Sally Carman leaving Corrie? Fans ‘work out’ heartbreaking Abi exit after eight years
Coronation Street fans have predicted a heartbreaking exit for beloved resident Abi Webster.
Abi (Sally Carman-Duttine) – who made her debut in 2017 – has had a dramatic and difficult past few months on the ITV soap.
At the start of the year, she was left with serious PTSD after witnessing the murder of Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) and started hallucinating her dead son Seb (Harry Visinoni).
Abi’s husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell) was then diagnosed with testicular cancer. Around the same time, his estranged brother Carl (Jonathan Howard) showed up on the cobbles, after years of living in Germany.

However, it didn’t take long for Carl to cause some drama as Abi ended up falling for Carl, despite fighting her feelings for her brother-in-law. The pair eventually gave in to temptation and have secretly been seeing each other.
As well as his romantic endeavours, Carl has also been taking part in some dodgy dealings. At first, he started putting dodgy MOTs through the garage, owned by his brother.
He then started stealing cars while working for criminal boss Fiona. But this week, it was revealed that Carl was the one driving the stolen car that ran over Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
Following the hit and run, Tyrone ended up in hospital and has been warned he might not be able to feel his legs again. In a bid to cover his tracks, Carl set fire to the vehicle – but copper Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is seemingly onto him and suspects Carl is up to no good.
However, amid all the drama, fans can’t help but think that Carl will end up framing Abi for his crimes, leading to a potential exit for Abi.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “I can’t stand that Carl hope he gets what is coming to him!”
Another added: “I think he’s going to get away with it and frame Abi and then make a getaway.” A third chimed in: “Yes I thought he could frame her.” Someone else mused: “He def will just look out for himself and throw her under the bus.”
