Coronation Street fans have worked out who is sending Dee-Dee Bailey death threats.

The lawyer has been working to try and get Roy Cropper bailed after he was charged with the murder of Lauren Bolton. Lauren went missing a few months back, with the police convinced she was killed after they found a lot of her blood in her flat.

Innocent Roy has become DS Swain’s target, as she is convinced he is guilty of the crime. However, we know that he is not – and that someone else is responsible for Lauren’s disappearance and potential death.

Dee-Dee is now being targeted with mysterious phone calls and emails amid her involvement in the court case, representing Roy. Fans are now convinced that they know who are sending the emails to Dee-Dee.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Does anyone else think that Joel is dodgy and might have something to do with Lauren’s disappearance or the heavy breathing phonecalls to Dee-Dee? #Corrie,” whilst a second added: “Is Joel sending the hate emails?#Corrie.” A third penned: “Think we’ve all guessed that’s it’s Joel. #Corrie.”

Dee-Dee has been growing closer to Joel despite him lying about having a wife and a child.

“The thing I like about this, he’s done a wrong thing but I think, not the right reasons, he’s not meant to harm (Dee-Dee), he’s just meant to have a good relationship with her,” actor Callum Lill explained of what’s to come, “He’s gonna have to grovel and explain himself but what I like about it is it’s not black and white, it’s kind of grey and in the middle.

“I hope what the audience enjoys is watching two young people trying to navigate quite a realistic relationship. It’s not Prince Charming and they’re gonna sail off into the sunset, he’s got baggage and he’s made mistakes and he’s human. He’s not perfect.”

Asked whether there’s a chance for him and Dee-Dee, he added: “Yeah I would. I think Dee-Dee is an incredible character and a very proud woman and strong woman. He needs to do his grovelling, he absolutely needs to do his grovelling and he needs to make it up to her. But I want to see them both happy. I’d love to see a Dee-Dee and Joel wedding.”
