Coronation Street tragedy as teen overdoses on drugs and it’s crushing news
Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) leaves his loved ones worrying about him again in Coronation Street soon as he overdoses on the drugs belonging to Paul Foreman (Peter Ash).
A few months ago, after being relentlessly bullied by Mason (Luca Toolan) and his gang, Liam started to google ways he could end his life.
Fortunately, Liam was found by Maria (Samia Longchambon) and Gary (Mikey North) before anything happened. In the aftermath, as well as opening up about the bullying, Liam has also made a great deal of progress in his mental health recovery.
Coming up, during an afternoon of watching a film, Joseph (William Brown) asks Liam if things have improved at school.
As Liam struggles to breathe, he reaches for his inhaler and eventually manages to calm down.
Joseph urges him to tell Maria about his panic attacks but Liam refuses and says he doesn’t want to worry his mum.
Later, while Joseph keeps a look out, Liam rummages in the cupboards looking for sweets. He’s intrigued to find Paul’s stash of Benzo pills and puts them in his pocket.
Returning home, Liam realises Gary isn’t in the flat, unaware he’s actually at the pub looking after a drunk Sarah (Tina O’Brien).
Feeling another panic attack coming on, Liam takes out Paul’s pills.
Back at Billy’s (Daniel Brocklebank), after realising the drugs are missing, he learns from Joseph that Liam was in rummaging around in the cupboards earlier.
Alone in the flat, Liam is seen unconscious with the pill bottle next to him.
But can anyone get to him in time?
