Coronation Street spoilers w/c Monday May 6

The murder mystery of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) is hit with another dark twist in next week’s Coronation Street – as Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) is sickened and knocked for six by the return of her paedophile abuser Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper).

Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is currently in prison awaiting trial for Lauren’s murder but, coming face to face with sick Nathan after his release from prison, Bethany becomes convinced that he is connected.

As a showdown unfolds, Nathan’s presence is deeply unsettling – and things are going to get very unsavoury indeed.

Nathan isn’t the only familiar face fans will recognise as part of Lauren’s storyline as Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) re-connects with Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) again, when she has information that could help trace the missing teen.

There’s further trauma away from this saga on the cobbles too as Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) continues to struggle following his bullying ordeal and suicidal thoughts – and suffers a panic attack.

And when he comes across a stash of Paul Foreman’s (Peter Ash) pills, disaster strikes and his life is left hanging in the balance.
