Hollyoaks hunk returns to soap nine years on from exit – but as a completely different character
SIENNA Blake is about to have her world turned upside down in Hollyoaks thanks to two arrivals to the village.
In upcoming scenes, Sienna (played by Anna Passey) will see her family tree expand when she meets her long-lost grandmother and uncle, the latter bearing a striking resemblance to her late father Patrick.
Actor Jeremy Sheffield, who played Patrick Blake between 2012 to 2016, has rejoined the Channel 4 soap as the character’s twin brother, Jez.
Joining him is actress and television personality Sherrie Hewson, who has signed up to play the role of Martha.
Sherrie and Jeremy are set to make their first appearances in late May.
Hannah Cheers, Hollyoaks’ Executive Producer, said: “To be a Blake, you must be clever, captivating and charming on the outside… and calculating, cold and cynical on the inside.
“With a family dynasty so rich in history, it should come as no surprise that there are still many secrets to be uncovered.
“But for Sienna, Dilly, Liberty and Maxine, what happens next is not what anyone could have expected….”.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Sheffield said of his return: “I’m so excited to be back in the village and have the opportunity to play a great new character.
“Jez might be Patrick’s twin but he couldn’t be more different; he’s charming, enigmatic, complex and full of mystery.
“Working with the wonderful Sherrie Hewson means we get to explore even more of the famously twisted Blake family secrets.”
Meanwhile, Sherrie Hewson said of her new role: “It’s been a roller coaster joining Hollyoaks!
“The character is just wonderful to play. Everyone is so lovely, such a great atmosphere to work in and so welcoming. We laugh a lot. What more could you ask for?”
Sherrie is best known for her roles as Joyce Temple-Savage in Benidorm, and Maureen Holdsworth in Coronation Street, as well as serving as a panellist on Loose Women for 14 years.
