Liam’s fate ‘sealed’ in tragic Coronation Street video as he’s left to die
Liam Connor’s (Charlie Wrenshall) life hangs in the balance in Coronation Street soon as he overdoses on drugs.
A few months ago, after being relentlessly bullied by Mason (Luca Toolan) and his gang, Liam started to google ways he could end his life.
Fortunately, Liam was found by Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) and Gary Windass (Mikey North) before anything happened.
In the aftermath, as well as opening up about the bullying, Liam has also made a great deal of progress in his mental health recovery.
Recently though, it became apparent Liam has started experiencing panic attacks. He uses his inhaler to help with his breathing, but is yet to open up to Maria about this problem.
In this new video, Liam and Joseph spend the afternoon at the flat watching a film.
As Joseph keeps watch by the door, Liam searches the kitchen cupboards for sweets.
He then comes across a pill bottle for diazepam – which we know belongs to Paul (Peter Ash).
He slips them into his pocket just as Joseph reveals Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) and Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) are on their way back.
Liam and Joseph dash to the sofa and sit down, with the young lad failing to disclose what he has stolen.
Later on, once he’s home, Liam realises Gary isn’t in the flat, unaware he’s actually at the pub looking after a drunk Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).
Feeling another panic attack coming on, Liam takes out Paul’s pills, believing they will help calm him down.
Back at Billy’s, after realising the drugs are missing, he learns from Joseph that Liam was in rummaging around in the cupboards earlier.
Liam is then seen unconscious with the pill bottle next to him.
But can anyone get to him in time?
