Abi Webster rocked by horrifying news about son Seb’s murderer in Coronation Street
Old wounds are reopened in Weatherfield this month
CORONATION Street spoilers reveal Abi Webster will be left furious in upcoming scenes after hearing an update on Corey Brent.
Viewers will remember that Corey (Maximus Evans) brutally murdered Abi’s son Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni).
After initially being found not guilty, a chain of events led to Corey being re-arrested, charged again and the villain finally pleaded guilty to the crime.
Now three years later, Abi is horrified when she learns what Corey is up to now in scenes yet to air.
Upcoming scenes will show Abi switching on the TV to hear the presenter singing the praises of Corey and his football prowess.
As Abi watches in horror, her husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell) is forced to reveal that Corey is playing for his prison football team.
Having watched the documentary which paints Corey as a hero, Abi is incensed.
She and Nina (Mollie Gallagher), who had been Seb’s girlfriend and fellow victim of Corey’s attack, call the TV company responsible for the documentary.
They later barge their way into the producer’s office demanding answers.
Aside from his role in Seb’s departure, Corey’s time in Weatherfield also saw him develop a relationship with Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey).
They first got together after being set up by Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), later moving in together at 12 Victoria Court.
Their troubled romance saw Corey pressure Asha into having sex and dished out homophobic insults to her and Nina after they began dating.
Another sickening act saw Corey record and leak a ‘striptease’ that Asha had done for him.
Following the ruthless attack on Seb and Nina, Corey forced his then-partner to give him a false alibi.
He instructed Asha to tell the police that they were together in their flat all night, as well as ordering Asha to make sure Amy didn’t blab either.
Ultimately, Asha hatched a dangerous plan to expose Corey’s crimes once and for all.
