Coronation Street Abi’s hacker ‘exposed’ as returning character ‘wants revenge’

The identity of Abi Webster’s (Sally Carman) hacker on Corrie has been exposed – according to AI.

Over the past few weeks, Coronation Street fans have watched the former drug addict share her concerns for her sister Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) after she joined the life-coach community The Institute. The ITV favourite has been very vocal about her fears that the group could be part of a cult that is preying on vulnerable people.

Most recently, the blonde bombshell stumbled across some negative feedback about the group online that claimed the organisation was actually a “cult”. It didn’t take long before leader Rowan (Emrhys Cooper) shut down the poor reviews, chalking it up to a bitter ex out for revenge.

Determined to get to the bottom of things, Abi did some digging into Rowan’s past relationships and paid a visit to his ex-wife. But she was met with disappointment when she admitted she had no idea about the scathing review.

The smug businessman then returned to the Bistro where he confronted her about meddling in his business. He explained that the complaint – which was later removed from the website – was from an ex-girlfriend, not his ex-wife.

And it appears as though things are only going to get worse for Abi, after a series of sex tapes are leaked online for the world to see. The X-rated clip shows Abi’s face posted onto the body of a sex worker through deepfake technology.

It soon becomes clear that it isn’t actually her in the videos and is actually a digital manipulation which is being plastered all over the internet. Thankfully, the mum-of-three managed to get the clips quickly taken down, but her troubles didn’t end there when the racy clips were uploaded to other sites.

Hellbent on finding out who is behind the leaked clips, Abi immediately points the finger at drug dealer Dean Turnball (Anthony Crank) who returned to the street last week. As the dramatic scenes unfold, Daily Star has quizzed one of the world’s most popular ‘creative’ AI tools to unmask the real culprit.

Asked about the identity of the online hacker, it said: “It’s possible Rowan could have leaked Abi Webster’s sex tapes on Coronation Street. Soap operas are known for their unexpected turns.

“Rowan’s recent return and ongoing feud and reason for revenge could mean he’s involved. While the current focus might be on Abi’s past and characters like Dean, it’s always possible for new information, implication Rowan.”

Another possible culprit behind the leaked tapes could be Abi Webster’s abusive ex-boyfriend Darren. The system predicted: “It’s possible that Darren could be the culprit behind the leak of Abi Webster’s sex tapes on Coronation Street.

“Coronation Street writers often explore relationship strains and secret desires. Darren has a every reason to be upset with Abi, leading him to leak the tapes for revenge.” Fans will remember how the doting mum was horrifically abused by her former flame when she battling addiction.

In September 2017, Seb suffered a vicious attack at the hands of Darren which made him finally speak out and tell his then girlfriend Faye Windass about the extreme lengths of Darren’s abuse. It was at this point that Abi finally opened her eyes and ended her relationship with Darren.

These deepfake clips could be his revenge plot to get back at his former flame once and for good. Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out the identity of Abi’s assailant.
