Kylian Mbappe and Andres Cubas need separating after fiery confrontation in Paraguay vs France

The tension boiled over during Paraguay’s World Cup Round of 16 clash against France as Kylian Mbappe and Andres Cubas were at the center of a fiery confrontation that nearly escalated into a full-blown fight.
The incident began when Cubas grabbed hold of Mbappe’s shirt as the French captain looked to break away. Mbappe immediately turned to confront the Paraguayan midfielder, with the two exchanging pushes as emotions spilled over.
Within seconds, players from both teams rushed in, creating a large scrum as they attempted to separate the pair. For a brief moment, it looked as though the confrontation could escalate much further before teammates and officials restored order.
Despite the heated exchange, referee Ilgiz Tantashev opted against showing a yellow card to either player, allowing the match to continue without any disciplinary action from the incident.
