Coronation Street ‘rumble’ Lauren Bolton’s killer after eerie Max ‘clue’

Coronation Street viewers have been given more clues about the disappearance of Lauren Bolton.

Friday night (May 24) saw Max Turner spark suspicion when he revealed that Lauren’s hair dye and makeup was underneath his bed. He also spoke about Lauren in the past tense.

It’s Roy Cropper who has recently found himself in hot water, being arrested and charged as the prime suspect in the alleged murder of missing teen Lauren. Fans will remember that she suddenly vanished from the cobbles earlier this year, leaving her friend Bobby Crawford worried after discovering her flat unlocked and Lauren nowhere in sight.

Lauren’s departure was never shown on screen and it appears she only confided in Roy about her plans to leave Weatherfield. After reporting Lauren missing to the police, Roy has become a person of interest due to his kind-hearted nature.

This suspicion was heightened when he was spotted innocently tidying up Lauren’s flat, leading some to believe he was guilty. Online detectives have since made his life difficult with a wave of internet harassment.

In the coming week, soap fans will be taken by surprise as a fresh piece of evidence uncovers the true identity of Lauren’s killer. However, some viewers believe they’ve already solved the mystery following a puzzling scene on Friday night, reports the Mirror.

In the most recent episode, David Platt was vacuuming when he stumbled upon a bag filled with blonde hair dye and makeup under Max Turner’s bed. Max was irritated to find David meddling with his things and became defensive before admitting they belonged to Lauren, although he corrected himself, saying “were Lauren’s”, implying he wanted to keep them.

Fans rushed to X to comment. One viewer tweeted: “I think max has taken Lauren.. why is there blonde hair dye under Max’s bed? Lauren is blonde maybe dyed blonde? That could be a big clue for next week… @itvcorrie #Corrie”.

Another fan speculated: “So Max had a box of Lauren’s hair dye and it was under his bed? Interesting #Corrie #CoronationStreet @itvcorrie” and yet another added: “Oh that’s suspicious Max #Corrie..”

Soap buffs will recall Lauren rocked up in Weatherfield back in 2022, luring Max into a dodgy far-right gang led by Griff. Initially, Max was taken with Lauren, but their spark fizzled when the gang’s vile agenda came to light.

Lauren, whose dad Reece was a top dog in the group, got caught up in the mess with Max. Since then, she’s been on a mission to clean up her act, but vanished into thin air while her dad Reece and Griff, who popped back up last Friday, ended up behind bars.
