Meanwhile, Peter Andre also returns with several appearances, supporting Princess while allowing the spotlight to remain firmly on his eldest daughter.
Emily MacDonagh Is Barely Seen
Although Peter is back on the programme, Emily MacDonagh is almost entirely absent.
The NHS doctor and broadcaster only makes a brief cameo during episode three, when Princess and Junior attend the press night of Mamma Mia! The Party at London’s O2 Arena to support their father.

Emily appears briefly on the red carpet alongside Peter and his two eldest children before the performance begins. Beyond that fleeting moment, she is not featured during the evening, leaving many viewers wondering why she chose not to participate.
Why Emily Chose to Step Back
Emily’s limited appearance is no accident.
Last year, both she and Peter reportedly decided to reduce their involvement in The Princess Diaries so the series could focus primarily on Princess rather than becoming a wider family show.
According to reports at the time, the decision was made jointly within the family to ensure Princess remained the central figure of the programme.

While Peter has since returned for selected scenes, Emily has remained committed to staying behind the scenes.
Speaking earlier this month, Peter explained that he only appears occasionally because the show belongs to Princess.
“I pop in a little bit. It’s her show, but I pop in. They came to see Mamma Mia! The Party and filmed it, so there’ll be some of that footage,” he said.
Focusing on Career and Family
Away from reality television, Emily continues to balance several successful roles.
Alongside her work as a GP, she has expanded her presence in digital media and recently launched The Double Dose podcast with fellow doctor Dr Raj Arora, where the pair discuss everything from hormones and motherhood to sleep, skincare, relationships and wellbeing.
She also shares regular health, parenting and lifestyle content with hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram while raising her three children with Peter—Amelia, Theo and young Arabella.
Rather than returning to reality TV full-time, Emily appears to have chosen to focus on her medical career, family life and growing media projects, leaving Princess and Junior to take centre stage.
A New Dynamic for the Andre Family
The latest season offers viewers a noticeably different family dynamic.
With Katie Price finally joining the cast and Peter making occasional appearances, the focus remains firmly on Princess as she continues building her own career and identity in the public eye.
For longtime fans, Emily’s absence may come as a surprise, but it also reflects the family’s decision to allow Princess’s story—not the adults around her—to remain the heart of the series.
