Ruth Langsford is reportedly choosing not to date as her long-running divorce from former husband Eamonn Holmes continues to make its way through the courts.

More than two years after the couple announced the end of their 27-year relationship, the TV presenter is said to be focused on closing this chapter of her life before opening a new one.

A Divorce That Refuses to End

Ruth, 66, and Eamonn, 66, confirmed their separation in May 2024 after nearly three decades together. While both have moved forward in different ways, the legal process surrounding their divorce has yet to be resolved.

The former This Morning stars are expected to face a High Court hearing later this year after reportedly failing to agree on a financial settlement.

According to reports, a trial is scheduled for November, with discussions likely to involve the division of their estimated multi-million-pound assets, including their former marital home in Weybridge, Surrey.

A source close to the situation said Ruth is eager for the proceedings to be over.

“Ruth’s ready to move on. She’s in limbo at the moment. This divorce has gone on forever and is dragging. She just wants to get on with her life and leave Eamonn in the past.”

The insider added that both Ruth and Eamonn simply want to live separate lives and finally bring the lengthy process to an end.

Why Ruth Isn’t Ready to Date

Despite appearing happier and more confident in recent months, Ruth is reportedly not interested in starting a new relationship while her divorce remains unresolved.

Instead, she has thrown herself into work, family and friendships.

Alongside continuing to front television projects, Ruth has expanded her successful QVC fashion range and recently celebrated the release of her memoir, Feeling Fabulous.

Friends say staying busy has helped her cope with one of the most difficult periods of her life.

She has also spent quality time with her 24-year-old son Jack and enjoyed holidays with close friends, including a birthday trip to the South of France.
