Corrie spoilers: DS Swain’s daughter sparks trouble, huge Toyah bombshell and Kit twist
It’s all kicking off on Coronation Street next week as Toyah Battersby receives a huge bombshell and DS Swain’s daughter grows closer to sicko solicitor Joel Deering
There’s plenty of drama in store for several Coronation Street characters next week.
Bernie is keen to tell Gemma and Paul that they have a brother and waits for Kit in the Rovers to discuss how they tell them the truth. However, he is already over at the flat breaking the news.
A depressed Bernie confides in Dev about the difficulties she is having with Paul and Gemma and trying to get her family together.
On the street, Beth flirts with Kit and is stunned when he reveals that he’s Gemma’s brother and Bernie’s his mum.
Gemma explains that she and Paul are buying a wreath for Kit’s real Mum Dev advises her to send her own floral tribute. Elsewhere, Steve’s birthday party is not exactly what he was expecting and he is gutted to discover Tim and Sally are at the unveiling of Tommy O’s bust.
Cassie offers to drive him to the party to confront them. Once there they discover a way to get revenge on Tommy once and for all. Steve enlists Tim’s help to try and cover his tracks after his and Cassie’s antics at the Tommy O bust unveiling. But Debbie soon rumbles them.
Meanwhile, Bethany shows the company credit card statement from Lazaret to Shona who spots a supermarket transaction and suggests it might have been a ‘click and collect’ and that she should phone them in case there’s some CCTV footage.
Toyah is horrified when she finds Leanne showing Amy an institute video to help relieve her stress and realises she is considering investing. Later, Toyah complains to Nick that she has terrible stomach pains and he is shocked when he returns home from work to find her in agony on the floor.
He takes her to the hospital and as he and Leanne wait at her bedside the doctor has some shocking news. Still in shock after the doctor’s news Toyah is left reeling when he drops another unexpected bombshell.
Also happening on the soap, Kit warns Sarah that DS Swain has been doing some digging and she’s caught onto the fact that Nathan received some hush money to drop the case. DS Swain drags her in for questioning and asks her directly if she knew who attacked Nathan and if she bought his silence with £10k.
Later on, Swain’s daughter Betsy starts her work experience at the factory and Fiz and Carla are impressed with her machining skills. At the factory, Betsy secretly reads a flirty text from Joel and sends a reply as Carla catches her and confiscates her phone. Will Carla read the message?
Elsewhere, when George approaches Michael hoping that he might be able to talk some sense into Glenda, he reveals that they’re no longer together as he disapproves of her recent behaviour.
Also, Nina and Shona agree that they need to come up with something to lift Roy out of his depression and get him out of the flat.
Meanwhile Nina makes out to Evelyn that Shona’s called in sick in a bid to get Roy back to work in the café. When Nina sets off the smoke alarm, Roy finally emerges from the flat and, putting on his pinny, agrees to get back to work.
