Corrie ‘work out’ how Toyah brings Rowan and The Institute down – and it’s explosive

Corrie enthusiasts reckon they’ve sussed out Toyah Habeeb’s game plan, and it spells trouble for Rowan Cunliffe.
The Street was abuzz earlier this year when the enigmatic “self-improvement group” The Institute made its debut. Helmed by the charismatic Rowan Cunliffe (played by Emhrys Cooper), Leanne Battersby (portrayed by Jane Danson) couldn’t resist its allure.
Leanne was quick to sign up, leaving her other half Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and her sister Toyah Habeeb (Georgia Taylor) fretting over her well-being.
Despite their worries, The Institute has Leanne wrapped around its finger, and she’s even brought Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) into the fold.
Little does Leanne know, she’s been spilling her guts to Rowan, who’s been using her confessions as leverage. Meanwhile, Toyah’s been battling her own demons, reports the Express.
After pouring her heart out to Nick Tilsley about her stillborn daughter Rose, the two grew closer and ended up in bed together.
Rowan caught them in the act and blackmailed Toyah with a non-disclosure agreement to zip her lips about The Institute. But that hasn’t stopped Toyah from digging into The Institute’s affairs.
This week on the soap, Toyah and Leanne rocked up at the Chariot Square Hotel for an induction bash – and Leanne was chuffed to bits to see Amy there. Toyah fibbed to Leanne, confessing that she believes The Institute “kind of works.”
However, fans now think Toyah is preparing to dismantle The Institute from the “from the inside.” Several comments on a Reddit thread echo this sentiment. One user said: “I hope Toyah is going to take them down from the inside.”
Another person chimed in: “I reckon she’s gonna pretend to be interested to make sure Amy and Leanne are ok and hopefully take them down.”
A viewer wrote in X: “Toyah is definitely up to something.” Another fellow believer penned: “Toyah is trying to get dirt on the institute.”
Yet another contemplated: “Wonder if Amy and Toyah are working together to suss out Rowan’s cult? ” A different commenter replied with suspicion: “It does look odd especially when Toyah remarked about the cult working.”
