Coronation Street‘s Lauren Bolton is set to disappear from the cobbles as part of a mysterious new storyline.

In new scenes set to air on the show, Bobby reveals to Lauren that he knows about her videos, expressing concern for her. Lauren then clams up, which leaves Bobby frustrated.

While speaking to Bethany, Lauren admits she is skint and suggests that she could write up a story on how she was brainwashed by a far-right group and sell it to a magazine.

At the café, Bobby looks for Lauren only to be told that Roy has sacked her. Roy then heads to Lauren’s flat with her wages, where she thanks him and tells him that she plans for a fresh start away from Weatherfield.

Speaking recently about Lauren’s exit plans, star Cait Fitton explained: “She’s been through that much heartache and that much trauma on the street, that there’s not really anything to make her stay.

“I think moving away from Weatherfield and making a fresh start is something that she does think about a lot – whether she’ll go through with it, I don’t know.”
