Coronation Street and Waterloo Road star Kym Marsh, 48, has revealed her newest tattoo, alongside a warning.

The Michelle Connor actress took to Instagram to show off her new ink, which was inspired by her latest theatre role in 101 Dalmatians The Musical.

‘Needed something to cover up an old one and this is just perfect! A great reminder of playing this Iconic villain!’ She wrote, alongside a picture of her new Cruella De Vil tattoo.

However, she was quick to offer a warning to any of her 616k followers who are thinking of getting a tattoo, adding, ‘Although….. if you’re gonna have a tattoo gang….. ribs are SORE!’ before apologising to her tattoo artist for swearing at the pain.

Kym is currently starring as the iconic villain Cruella in a musical version of 101 Dalmatians, alongside former Emmerdale star and author Jessie Elland.

After first announcing her new role on BBC Morning Live back in April, Kym reflected on the part, saying: ‘She’s brilliant. It’s such an iconic role. If you’re going to play a character on stage, you want to play Cruella De Vil.’

Since being on tour, Kym has also met her ‘soulmate’, after finding love with co-star Samuel Thomas, as she revealed in an Instagram post.

‘Met the most amazing man ever!’ Kym, 48, penned, alongside a picture of them kissing, ‘Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times.

This new tattoo isn’t Kym’s first, with the actress having previously revealed a beautiful piece in tribute to her dad, Dave, who passed away from prostate cancer in January.

The tattoo itself was of an ice cream, and Dave was thrilled when Kym surprised him with it, sharing his reaction in a sweet video.

Explaining the meaning behind the tattoo, Kym wrote: ‘Since his incurable cancer diagnosis [dad] has been obsessed with ice cream! He literally has one every day! So I got an ice cream on the inside of my fore arm for him to remind me of my wonderful dad, Every time I look at it!! He’s the best ever! Love you dad.’
