Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton could be heading for a devastating baby loss twist.
The troubled teen, played by Cait Fitton, made her shocking return to the cobbles this month. Fans will remember that Lauren has been missing since February and was thought to be dead, sparking a long-running mystery plotline.
However, it was later revealed that evil lawyer Joel Deering, portrayed by Callum Lill, had savagely attacked her before leaving her for dead.
A series of flashbacks in a recent episode unveiled the truth behind her disappearance and her relationship with Joel. The wicked solicitor insinuated himself into Lauren’s life after helping her with bills, eventually manipulating her into a sexual relationship.
After months in hiding, Lauren has returned and, in a shocking twist, she told Joel she was pregnant with his child.
When Dee-Dee Bailey and Bethany Platt, played by Channique Sterling-Brown and Lucy Fallon, managed to locate Lauren, Joel was petrified he would be exposed.
He has so far kept Lauren silent by promising to set up a new life for her and the baby in Ireland. However, the soap baddie has something more sinister in mind.
He looked up online which drugs can trigger premature labour, suggesting he plans to drug Lauren and harm their baby. And things are set to take an even more dramatic turn next week on the ITV soap.
Things take a drastic turn for Lauren later on. Alone and in pain, she clutches her stomach. Max, having traced her to the flat, arrives and starts banging on the door. A terrified Lauren then cries out to him, fearing she’s losing the baby.
