Strictly winner Ellie Leach drops big hint about Coronation Street return nine months after being axed from soap
The actress also recently addressed romance rumours with Strictly co-star Bobby Brazier
STRICTLY winner Ellie Leach has dropped a big hint that she could be making a comeback on Coronation Street.
The revelation comes just nine months after the actress, 22, was axed from soap, and just two months after she scooped the Glitterball Trophy.
Ellie played Faye Windass on Coronation Street from 2011 until April last year, with her final scenes airing the following month.
During her time on the street, the talented actress tackled some gritty storyline including teen pregnancy, early menopause and was even sent to prison for attacking a neighbour.

Now Ellie has hinted she could return to the famous Corrie Cobbles.
Speaking on The One Show last night about a possible comeback, the TV star said: “I mean never say never! She didn’t die!”
Ellie went on: “I spent so many amazing years there and grew up there. They will always be like my family! It was an amazing experience there.’
After Ellie’s final scenes aired in May last year, and she told fans at the time: “Just want to say a massive, massive thank you to everyone who has watched Corrie over the past 12 years and supported me.
“And also to my Corrie family, I am going to miss you all so much.
“And yeah just thank you so much to everyone who has always said nice words and really supported me.”
This latest news comes just days after Ellie broke her silence on the romance rumours that have engulfed her and fellow Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier.
The pair chatted to The Sun on the red carpet of the TV Choice Awards, which they walked separately on Monday night.
Grilled about what’s really going on between him and the show winner, Bobby branded Ellie “beautiful” and “amazing” as he did nothing to dampen the speculation surrounding them.
The EastEnders hunk said of their relationship: “Ellie is a sweetheart, look at her…she’s beautiful, she’s amazing, she’s good at what she does.
“She’s a good dancer. She is a lovely lovely friend of mine.”
Pressed on whether things have turned romantic between them, he cryptically repeated: “She’s a lovely, lovely, lovely friend of mine.”
Asked whether there was the potential for things to be more than just friends, he added: “I don’t know…you’ll have to see what she says.”
Bobby also refused to confirm if he was open to a relationship, responding: “Ummm…I’ve got some things to do. I’ve got career things to do, I’ve got personal things to do, I’ve got Godly things to do.
” I’m going back to EastEnders. I’ve missed them so much.”
Ellie was equally non-committal when we quizzed her on the romance rumours, but refused to deny they were an item.
She said: “We’re all on tour together, it’s been really nice to actually spend time with each other.
” During the show, you’re with your partner all the time really and you don’t really get to see any of the other pros or the celebrities.
“So on tour we have really bonded and it does feel like a big family. It’s been so much fun.”
It comes as the pair were snapped looking cosy in the lobby of a London hotel after the Strictly tour wrap party.
Bobby cradled Ellie’s head in his arms as she held onto his arm.
And he appeared close with her mum Karen as he held hands with her while walking through the foyer.
Rumours have swirled throughout the tour that Bobby and Ellie have been involved in a secret romance after they enjoyed a string of ‘secret dates’.
The pair were snapped getting Nando’s together, and have posted several cosy snaps on their social media.
