Coronation Street’s Joel ‘rumbled’ by unlikely character as vile actions ‘exposed’

Coronation Street’s Joel Deering may need to watch his back, as someone could finally be onto him.

But it’s a rather unexpected character who might be about to rumble his games, and his violent behaviour. After troubling scenes yet to air on the show, there’s a discovery that puts Joel and his lies under threat.

Viewers will soon see Joel endanger Betsy Swain as she continues to blackmail him, with him seemingly hurting her. It’s not known for sure if he turns violent, but next week she’s sporting bruises on her arm after her run-in with the solicitor.

Pal Mason Radcliffe sees the bruising and he guesses that the guy she’s been rinsing for cash is behind it. He obviously doesn’t know that Joel is the man in question, but will he make it his mission to work out their identity and confront them?

It wouldn’t take much digging if Joel and Betsy come face-to-face, and Mason clocks what’s going on. If Betsy was able to see Joel for what he is, perhaps Mason will too.

Mason urges her to tell her mum DS Swain about the incident and grass him up, but what will Betsy do? If Mason does crack the case, it’s unlikely he will let Joel get away with it and he could end up unravelling all of his crimes.

So might Mason trigger his downfall amid Joel’s partner Dee-Dee Bailey also growing suspicious? Dee-Dee is left alarmed by a discovery next week that sends her on a little investigation to the flat Joel owns, unaware he’s housing Lauren Bolton there.

She realises Joel has been lying about a certain piece of jewellery – which fans know is linked to Lauren. Not only does an email about a Belfast trip spark concern, but when she finds out Joel didn’t really purchase a charm bracelet for his young daughter Maeve after all, leading to his ex Emily warning Dee-Dee about his secret flat, Dee-Dee takes action.

Dee-Dee lets herself into Joel’s flat and searches the cupboards convinced he’s having an affair, but what will she find?
