Joel Deering could be about to be finally caught out in Coronation Street as Dee-Dee Bailey makes a shock discovery as she becomes even more suspicious of her partner.
The walls appear to be closing in on the cobbles newest villain, played by Calum Lill, with his fiancée (Channique Sterling-Brown) digging deeper into his secret life.
Next week, Dee-Dee googles the jewellers where Joel made out he bought his daughter Maeve’s bracelet. As she looks at other items worth £300 she’s stunned by what she finds.
Dee-Dee later visits Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton)in hospital. When Lauren reveals that she’ll soon be moving to Belfast, Dee-Dee covers her shock. As Dee-Dee points out the coincidence to Joel he gives nothing away. Determined to get to the truth, Dee-Dee follows Joel.
Dee-Dee’s later left stunned at Joel’s audacity as she demands the truth. Summoned by Dee-Dee, Joel’s ex-wife Emily Wilkinson (Ellena Vincent) calls at the solicitors and Dee-Dee braces herself for a tough conversation.
In recent episodes of the long-running ITV serial drama, her suspicions have been raised following his behaviour. Joel has been hiding many things from Dee-Dee as he has been concealing Lauren at his flat, who recently gave birth to his baby.
He also lied to his fiancee when he bought medication to terminate Lauren’s pregnancy. The box of tablets arrived at their address, but he told Dee-Dee it was actually for a client. Lauren was planning to permanently relocate to Northern Ireland to start a new life and Joel even found her a bedsit. After months of lies, is it all coming to an end for Joel?
Elsewhere in Weatherfield next week, Ruby makes a fuss of her new brother while Hope wants nothing to do with Dorin. Alina starts receiving menacing calls and suspects it’s the people traffickers trying to intimidate her. But when Tyrone suggests that Hope might be behind it she’s furious and denies any involvement.
